Lend Your Heart, Lend a Hand
Volunteers are the heart of Hospice, aiding families and individuals facing life-changing situations. Anyone with a compassionate heart is capable of volunteering. If you can offer a smile, share a hug, take a walk or simply listen – you can volunteer with us.
Volunteers generously donate their time to enhance the quality of care provided to patients and their families. Sometimes the needs fulfilled by our volunteers are very practical: providing respite to a caregiver, delivering supplies, making coffee, writing letters or baking cookies. Other times, it is much more emotional: holding a hand, offering reassurance, just sitting quietly with someone who doesn’t want to be alone, and being a companion. Volunteers also help with our bereavement programs.
If you would like to volunteer, please download and print this application. Once you have filled it out, please drop it off or mail it to our office at 308 W. 12th Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie MI 49783.
