Your Home Away from Home

At Ball Hospice House, residents find spacious private lodging awaiting them. Our rooms strike the right balance between comfort measures and homey feel. Hospital beds, which help with positioning, are made cozier by the use of volunteer-made quilts and handmade pillowcases. The necessities (including telephone, cable television, and individual climate control) are all provided, but so are the extras that are particularly useful in a hospice setting, like oxygen equipment.

Each room has a single sofa sleeper for family members who wish to stay in the same room as a resident. They also have the use of their own attached half bath, recliner chair and small refrigerator.

While we provide a home-like space, we invite families to decorate rooms with those personal items that might be meaningful to the resident and comforting to those visiting. We have seen rooms personalized by hundreds of families and no two are alike, just as no two residents are alike.
