Originally from El Paso, Texas, Michael and Laurel are used to sunshine and heat 336 days out of the year. It’s little surprise then that moving to Michigan shocked them a little. But they’re no strangers to cold weather – from Alaska to Seattle and now Sault Ste. Marie – they go where the Coast Guard sends them. Michael is a search and rescue planner, and Laurel is a Realtor with RE/MAX NorthStar Realty. They have 4 children, Jenna (8), Maryn(8), Peter(4), and Ilah(2). Their family is actively involved in their church Central Methodist, and surrounding community.
